A convenient benefit to crushing insurrection came from 911 itself. Now if you even any form of insurrection, you can be imprisoned for life with no trial, no communication unless approved to the outside world. It’s called the Patriot Act.

They want to do everything good for the Mexicans, but they want to screw Americans until someone needs to pay for it, and then they will make us pay for it.
How does that go? NO taxation without representation? I don't know about you guys, but I've had enough! They no longer represent me. They give our tax dollars to terrorist organizations, to pay for Aids in Africa and to every other country in the world. I'm fed up!
I read 1776 recently, a great balanced historic representation of the facts. Your quote sums up why the revolution happened. Leaders don’t learn from history. Americans under English rule had the best of all worlds. Cheap land, low taxes (respectively compared to England’s themselves) abundance in natural resources, intellectual brilliance and enjoyment of life as a whole. BUT... Those of the brave saw through this illusion for what it was, slow but sure slide into tyranny.
All the Americans wanted was a couple of states to have an American governor to a British counterpart as those states had begun getting hit with unfair law dictated to them.
Most states already had this fair arrangement or Britich/American counterparts which was working very well.
When it was requested and it reached King George’s ears that their was white resistance such as demonstrations, he made a choice of pulling all of the American governor counterparts in all states and this started the revolution.
My history book in 8th grade talked much about the Boston Tea Party and ‘Taxation without Representation’. Truth is, when leadership stops listening you get noise and white resistance from the population. When leadership uses aballpoint hammer to quell the white resistance you then get physical resistance from the population. We are in the white resistanse phase and coming close to the physical strage if change does not occur. I hope the leadership in Washington gets this memo in time.

The patriots prior to the revolution talked first and debated much about what could be done. They were the minority. Very few ‘Americans’ wanted to be called as such. They were happy as torries, well fed and clothed and actually had less interference from the Britih government then what we have today in America by our laws and government.
What is going to be hard is that we are all well armed citizens. If the torries of Washington’s day were all so armed we would not have won our independance as the government would have harnassed the population as part of the insurrection fighting machine. This is what the government is creating, not necessarily with this direct intention but by de facto. It’s not at a point where any American should spill blood. Talking about is and formulating strategy is a good thing. We just got blindsided from all directions in the last couple of years by our leadership. How ‘We the People’ respond must be thought through very carefully. We have major global enemies. The Brits lost much of their world power by expending such resources on quelling our revolution. The French rose to power, conquered most of Europe and came close to invading and conquering England itself. The only thing preventing that was the English Channel and the Brits still had a glorious powerful fleet.
We may have lost our country. If so it happened in the sixties when our leaders folded up before the “youth revolution” and the complicit courts.
The people are not stupid they have yet to awaken. When they do they will be quite angry just as we are.
We are already in deep trouble. Have been for years. People here on FR are finally waking up. Look how long that took. Don’t be too upset that it takes the civilians a little longer. It is hard to believe how bad our government is behaving.

Unfortunate indeed. Civil insurrection is the last thing this country needs at a time our enemies are preparing for the end of our civilization through nuclear terrorism and eventual invasion.

You are probably right although I have a feeling our enemies will do something that will force our leadership’s head out of it’s collective *ss before a restorative Revolution would occur. Our government is already doing the pre-empting and our enemies are noticing and exploiting...
