Commie tripe laid on too thick for even Toronto's red Star !!! (May 20, 2007)
Canadian media needle Sicko - Moore's health-care film gets rough reception
Sounds like the DNC platform.
Wow! Obviously this urinal-ist thinks all docuemntaries are about politics?
As much a liberal as Mike "The Large" Moore, Ken Burns tops my list of documentarians in this "epoch".
J. Cousteau, too. That (recently deceased) French cinematographer that worked for NatGeo puts together better stuff than MM.
“So, even if he is found to have fiddled with the facts,”
The last time someone “fiddled” the way Lumpy Reifenstahl does, a major city in Italy was burning.
He got a taste of his own medicine, and it didn’t taste good.
The liberal author seems to have a hard time deciding which side to take in this liberal vs liberal story.
BUMP!
Well gee whiz! You actually are starting to care about facts in documentaries! How cute and novel for a liberal to do such a thing!
Liberals never let the facts get in the way of their opinions.
Huh??????
Lies pay very well, except in the end.
They forced him to watch some ugly fat guy tell lies on TV?
Michael Moore fans, AKA Moorons ...
bump
I believe that should read, "...who put the 'Big Mac' in Machiavelli."
“perhaps guilty of making fictitious docs”
Perhaps??
All of these lib presentations deserve their facts be “analyzed”.
My kids insisted that I watch the Daily Show last week.
Stewart was showing how Tony Snow contradicted himself using clips of Tony. One clip showed the original statement back in March and the other showed the contradicting clip supposedly 2-3 months later. Stewart ran the clips more than once emphasizing that they were 2-3 months apart.
But what a coinky-dink, Tony was wearing the exact same suit and tie in both clips. I mean geez if you’re going to throw around accusations, at least use a clip of him dressed differently. Unless - could it be that the ‘contradiction’ was made on the same day and taken out of context?
Another oh, so clever put down of GWB showed a very banal statement by GWB from what I call a Chamber of Commerce or Trade Show speech and then compared it to clips of FDR saying “the only thing we have to fear, is fear itself” and a clip of JFK’s “ask not what your country can do for you”.
Probably their two best speeches.
Did Stewart and company even consider comparing their best to Bush’s speech to the nation on 9/20/2001? Of course not, that would be comparing apples to apples and their audience apparently doesn’t recognize the difference anyway.
I thought this thing was already released several months ago?
"The concept of propaganda has undergone a fundamental transformation, particularly as the result of political practice in Germany. Throughout the world today, people are beginning to see that a modern state, whether democratic or authoritarian, cannot withstand the subterranean forces of anarchy and chaos without propaganda. It is not only a matter of doing the right thing; the people must understand that the right thing is the right thing. Propaganda includes everything that helps the people to realize this.
As such Michael Moore is simply an enemy of the modern democratic republic which the United States represents. The reason is that Moore does ALL he can to misinform the public, thereby preventing the rational decision making process that a democratic republic cannot survive without.
So I say to Moore: "FU" and the horse you rode in on.
In spades.
The Right is just terrible at this propaganda business. Totally outclassed by the heirs of Hermann Goering.
These Left Michael Moore critics are not mad about his making propaganda. They seem surprised that Moore has been lying all along, hah, hah.
Of course, really effective, really good, propaganda rarely claims a lie to be the truth. Notice that the mass media almost never utter lies as truth without “plausible deniability” and some “local photographer” to blame for clumsy PhotoShop work.
The Nation has been ruled by conscious control of mass opinion through mass media for over a century. Check it out for yourself.
