"Just a hunch, but Id wager animal activists had nothing to do with this and the dolphin died of ingesting a plastic bag of goat entrails AND wager these came from the slaughter of a goat used at an immigrant cookout." Hey, it's this diversity that gives us our strength, right?

Perhaps it had an eating disorder?

Do they use goats for religious rituals in the islands? I seem to remember hearing about the police finding spots where animal sacrifices had taken place when I lived in FL a number of yrs ago.

Yeah, but why wire its mouth shut? Weird.Just a guess: to keep it quiet during slaughter.
IIRC, the Florida legislature passed a law a few years back about animal cruelty that prohibits slaughter of animals in your back yard, so those of certain cultural groups -- usually Mexicans -- who indulge in this butchery wouldn't want the neighbors to catch on.
I've thankfully never heard the sound of a goat being slaughtered, but, aside from the sanitation and legal issues, it's apparently the sound of the slaughter that's liable to make even the most exquisitely culturally-sensitive urban neighbors very unhappy.

Good question...I don’t know. I don’t have a problem with a person dressing out an animal for their own consumption, but the improper disposal of the remains is inexcusable.
As maica commented, “Someones culture sees any open water as a disposal system.”
