There are a number of rat traps set by the msm/dnc/traitors and we are knocking off every one of them thanks to brilliant leadership of the war from Petreaus on down.

Killed 159 al Qaeda fighters and or other insurgents(terrorists in my book)wounded 41,detained 721 suspects(that’s a lot of detainees—marvelous job there that will undoubtedly go unreported)destroyed 304 roadside bombs,7 car bombs and destroyed 128 weapons caches. This is the largest operation in Iraq since 2003 and from the looks of msm reporting it will be up to us to get the good word out.
Also here is a Yahoo story about how we are now using former enemy Sunni to our advantage even though some of the higher ups including Maliki are not real hot about it. We are doing the right thing. It’s here:

This is how Counter Insurgencies end, not with a bang but a whimper. You get the moderate elements of the Insurgency to turn to the Govt side and you kill the hard core elements. Successful Counter Insurgencies always end with a political deal, not a standard military victory.
This is why so many conventional military types, political analysis, and average Americans have such a tough getting a grip on Iraq. Iraq is Limited War, not Total War. It does not work like their Hollywood actions movies tell them war is suppose to work.
Iraq is how most wars are, and will be, waged in the Modern age. We have been spoiled by Gulf War 1 and Kosovo etc to think we can win easily, quickly and painlessly. We can, in a conventional fight. That is why our foes will NOT fight us conventionally.
