Reminded me a lot of an old buddy of mine with epilepsy ~ he was that way just before a seizure ~ he'd experience an aura and he'd be incredibly distracted.
Next thing you now he'd be down on the floor shaking and jerking ~ and I swear Feinstein looked like she was ready to start hugging the rug.
