Immigration Reform Activist in Arkansas urge Senator Blanche Lincoln to oppose S1639
Little Rock, AR June 25, 2007 On Tuesday June 26th at 10:00am, immigration activist in Arkansas will protest at the office of United States Senator Blanche Lincoln at 912 West Fourth Street in Little Rock. We will demand that Senator Lincoln vote against ending cloture on S1639, the bill that would give a virtual amnesty to over 12 million illegal aliens. The taxpaying citizens of Arkansas do not want to live in an exploitation economy of illegal aliens, which S1639 will create if passed.
On June 5th, members of the Arkansas Minuteman Project visited the offices of Senator Blanche Lincoln and Senator Mark Pryor to urge the Senators to oppose S1639, which was then S1348. Grassfire.org delivered a petition of signatures and Keeparkansaslegal filmed the meetings which are now posted on youtube.com and keeparkansaslegal.blogspot.com. Senator Mark Pryor voted against ending debate on the virtual amnesty bill, for which many Arkansas taxpayers will are thankful for. Unfortunately, Senator Blanche Lincoln voted to end debate on a massive bill that was created behind closed doors, bypassed from committee debate, and is opposed by the majority of American Voters. Supporters of S1639 now want to slip the bill through by making it harder to add amendments.
S1639 will encourage law breaking more illegal immigration. The guestworker programs of the form proposed by S1639 are nothing more than an attempt by business to avoid having to pay a living wage to legal US residents. This will have the effect of creating a peasant class of cheap laborers, similar to the American slavery system that ultimately ended in The Civil War. According to the Heritage Foundation, a comprehensive immigration bill could cost the US taxpayer as much as 2.5 trillion dollars!
In 1954, Eisenhower solved the problem of illegal immigration much more simply, and for far less money. His solution also exposed the extent to which the problem is corruption in our government, and among our businesspeople. Illegal aliens can be removed by shutting down crooked businesses, cutting off taxpayer funded services, and allowing the local police to enforce immigration law. We want our Senators to vote for true immigration reform, not virtual amnesty.

Good luck with that. Blanche will vote with Reid on cloture, then vote “Nay” on the bill. The fix is in and she and Boy Pryor can come back home, and with straight faces, claim they were against the great amnesty of 2007. Neither deserve to be returned when their current terms are up, and I hope Arkansans do not soon forget the coming sell-out.
good luck.....lincoln is a lib/dem....she will be told how to vote and will vote exactly as fat ted kennedy dictates!!!
