In the same document, on page 59, is a resolution regarding a relaxation in church doctrine on homosexuality...

RESOLUTION TO THE CONFERENCE (CC)
We move that the Baltimore Washington Conference petition the General Conference to delete from Paragraph 161 (G) of the Discipline the following sentence:
“The United Methodist Church does not condone the practice of homosexuality and consider[s] this practice incompatible with Christian teaching.”

The adopted text of such a petition would be as follows:
Petition to General Conference: Homosexuality Not Incompatible with Christian Teaching

I’m not a member of the Methodist Church, but I am a Christian. Our Church believes we are all sinners and will be forgiven of all sins, (Past,Present & Future) by accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior. He bore the penalty of Sin in place of His people. Mark 10:45
He redeems us from Sin. Titus 2:14; Acts 5:31,; James 5:15; Galatians 3: 8-13; Romans 6:1-23; Hebrews 9:10-18.
We try to live our lives in such a way to please God, but we know we’re forgiven if we goof up. So refreshing to have such an awesome Heavenly Father! (We also acknowledge all Denominations.) Blessings to all!
