Thank you, Sierra Club (which, according to Fox News, fought clearing underbrush from the area and kept an access road used to speed such clearing closed).......

“years of forest management” let to the problem? Make that forest mismanagement and they might have something there.

They warn that years of logging, development and forest mismanagement have left the Tahoe area particularly vulnerable to catastrophic wildfires.

I'm going to need someone to explain to me how logging contributes to wildfires. Usually, it is the lack of logging that leaves forests at risk.

To any Reno/Carson locals......The Atlantis Casino Resort is sponsoring a non-perishable food, seasonal clothing, pet supplies and money drive today until 6pm in the west lot off of Peckham and So Virginia. Governor Jim and First Lady Dawn Gibbons were there early this morning to open the event.
