Han said most of the offending manufacturers were small, unlicensed food plants with fewer than 10 employees, and all had been shut down.
Meanwhile, another regulating agency, China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce, said it closed 152,000 unlicensed food manufacturers and retailers last year for making fake and low-quality products.I'm not buying this BS, any more than I'm buying their products.

One wonders if it tracks with the increase in autism. I can't find the FR thread, but Discover had an interesting article some months back (before Chinese additives became an issue) on the links between the immune system and autism:
