That's correct--but even if they would have been enforced, the fact is, since the bill makes everyone legal there won't be anyone who falls into punishable categories anyway.

It is equivalent to saying "we're going to make a new law that will make the death penalty mandatory for every rape, murder, and theft--but first we're going to mandate that no one will be henceforth considered to be a rapist, murderer, or thief."

I confess: I used to be “soft” on illegal immigration mainly because of my anti union stance.

However, we are at war and the influx of unknown entities must be stopped. Action that trumps the union complaints.

Agreed. I see someone else thinks like me. If this bill passes, we won't need enforcement anymore.

It would be interesting to see the states fight the feds over the money they'll have to spend on services. I'd rather not see that fight though.
