So they made a pretty presentation of a solar still and won an international design competition? More power to them if they could pull the wool over these folk’s eyes by presenting them with an idea that any competent sailor or survivalist has known about for decades.

The ground water still is a good idea, but I think it’s different from the collector described in this article. One draws moisture from the ground while the other draws it from humidity in the air. The two devices are built from very different materials.

I would think that declining to the dew point would be required....I suspect that this method would not work in some areas.

If you could get 48 litres from that area in the desert, imagine what you could do with it in the Seattle area.

Maybe you could pipe it down to West Texas or Aridzona.

Withdrawing all of the water from our precious limited air will certainly promote the type of global warming that is dangerous to the planet. How dare they attempt to deprive the planets natural animal kingdom of its much needed water?

Ok, sarcasm off.

I see the sarcasm tag, but you're not too far off the mark in reality.

The amount of water on the planet is constant - It doesn't change. If you manage to "pull water from the air" in one place, guess what will happen? Some other place will be deprived of that same amount of water.

Have I become cynical, or what?

Nope, just aware of the scam that is the U.N.

Good idea, but the liberals will find a way to say it pollutes the environment.
