About 40,000 Bosnians settled in the St. Louis area in the 1990s,
following the war in the former Yugoslavia.

Finally, some conformation of the vague rumors I've heard of 50,000
Bosnians in the St. Louis area.

Well, we're lousy enough with 'em in Missouri that our Dept. of
Revenue prints up a drivers license manual in Bosnian.

Ironic, because you have had 10's of thousands of Serbs in Missouri for the last hundred years and there have been several hundred thousand Serbs in the Chicago area for just as long, but you never had problems like this before!

It has its ups and downs. You don’t see as many crack-houses in heavily Bosnian areas but then there’s all the dang track suits! South city looks like there is a casting call for a new Borat movie sometimes.
