A little after 11 a.m. yesterday, Ronald McCorkle walked the 125 steps from his house on Tioga Avenue to the corner of North Seventh Street in North Philadelphia and turned south to become No. 200 --snip-- Residents were clearly upset by the death of McCorkle, whom they described as a quiet, nice guy getting back on his feet after doing recent jail time.
They also were angry about what they considered a slow response by police to the shooting.

How does this compare with the number of soldiers we lost in Iraq this year.

The young man further demonstrated his knowledge by saying that it sounded distinctly like a small-frame Smith and Wesson revolver shooting a +P, 125 gr. JHP round.
What a shame - Phila has some incredible turn of the century buildings/neighborhoods that indicate a far different time.
But the citys elected officals had the vision to ban trans fat and show their displeasure at Gino’s window sign.
And for this great leadership they get paid, and paid well.
And the mayor is getting an Iphone !!!!
