All that’s really necessary is to damage a bunch of big pumps.

The pumps are undoubtedly American and will be very hard to replace with no foreign exchange.

The Oil fild will still be there intact when Hugo is gone.

It was also speculated that software to operate the systems may be gone.

Deep water in the Gulf of Mexico is one of the next big sources. Chevron and partners found 15 billion barrels but need new technology to get at it. Baker Hughes in Houston is developing deep water drilling technology. Next is the Bering Sea and surrounding areas just now being explored with seismic.

And we need a Congress to open up known areas.
