June 28, 2007 - (Washington, D.C.) U.S. Sen. David Vitter today issued the following statement regarding the defeat of the immigration bill.
This is an incredible victory for the American people. The Kennedy immigration bill was flawed and granted amnesty to millions of illegals.
For a while, a small group of us were the only senators advocating the position of the majority of Americans. I am thankful that the continued calls and persistent engagement of the American people on this issue paid off.
The next step is to immediately push the president to take up his word and enforce security at the border. I am ready to support the work that is needed to accomplish this goal, said Vitter.
And why GW’s at securing the border maybe he could PARDON RAMOS and COMPEAN !!!
Thanks to us the Kennedy Administration was defeated!
Thanks to everyone who helped kill this bill: senators, pundits, and voters.
Today I sent an email of thanks to my Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, for voting against cloture. I never thought I’d ever thank Bernie for anything!
And the Kennedy republicans are history...
Vitter is one of the small band of heroes to come out of this battle.
The next step is to immediately push the president to take up his word and enforce security at the border. I am ready to support the work that is needed to accomplish this goal, said Vitter.
Thank you Senator!!!
ABSOLUTELY!
PS: HOOOAHHH!
Thanks to ALL the Senators who voted against this ABORTION. NOW PARDON RAMOS AND COMPEAN !!!
LOL. Senator Vitter endorsed Rudy for President.
Hear him interviewed on the Laura Ingraham show this morning and I agree with your take.
Agreed, but don't forget to include Sheriffs Deputy Gilmer Hernandez.
Everyone is entitled to a mistake. He will change when Rudy drops out and is stepped on like a cockroach.
Build the fence, go after the employers of illegals, and start deportation in ernest.
So? What does that have to do with his work on this bill on behalf of the voters?
My prayers tonight are for Ramos and Compean. Like all the martyrs of the Roman Catholic Church, they suffer to serve as examples. Certainly, it is not easy. Jesus Christ Almighty did not have to save us all, either. Just a thought...
The next step is to immediately push the president to take up his word and enforce security at the border. I am ready to support the work that is needed to accomplish this goal,

Forget it. Bush will never do it. He has a sickness about this issues and the Mexicans...it is not healthy, nor is it in any way, good for America and its people, let alone desired by the majority of Americans. It is hard to believe this man’s position on this, and that at the same time, he is the President of this country. Beyond shocking.
