I think Floyd did the right thing based on what he was seeing at the moment.
As for the trooper, I think he could have kept it from getting out of hand and resulting in his death if he had called, and waited for, assitance instead of going after Kenney himself. It’s not like he didn’t know who the guy was and where he could be found.

That's true, this was an avoidable tradgedy.
Waiting for assistance would most likely resulted in saving the lives of both Kenny and the Trooper.
Being that McKay and Kenny had a history of bad blood between them is further reason to avoid the situation.
My heart goes out to all the families involved.

Its not like he didnt know who the guy was and where he could be found. This was posted the other day along with the video, it was taken down. The cop/trooper had to be one of the dumbest cops I ever saw. But he didn't deserve to get shoot and he probably wouldn't have if he had followed the law.
