I love stories like this. One wonders what went through the mind of the robber when the helpless old geezer sprouted fangs and killed him. He has my gratitude. I am a 72 year old geezer.

Lovell, a retired Pan-Am and Delta Airline pilot, has held a concealed weapons permit since September 1990. Three months earlier, Plantation police had arrested him for having a loaded .9 mm and three extra clips behind the driver's seat of a Corvette without proper permits for the gun. The Broward State's Attorney's Office declined to file charges in that case

.9mm. Imagine the size of the "clips".

This is curious as it is not against Florida law to have a weapon, loaded or not, in the passenger compartment of a vehicle. The law stipulates that it only has to be "securly encased". So either the cops didn't know what they were doing (Broward County=anti-gun, so that's not entirely unexpected) or some other BS reason.

This is why I’m moving to Florida. If this happened in Maryland, the Marine would be going to jail.

In the general population.

-— I don’t know what’s wrong with them that they can’t see that someone sticking a gun or a knife in people’s faces for money is threatening bodily injury or death, and that whatever happens to them they have coming to them. What the heck is wrong with them?-—

I think that it’s part of the general dissolution of Christianity in our society. The libs get bits and pieces of the old morality, but they have no way of integrating it into a functional whole. So, we get monstrosities like no death penalty ever and the criminalization of self defense and the suicide pact legal system.

“He was trying so hard to turn his life around.”

Oh, that’s why he was robbing the store. It was part of his plan for improving his life.

Okay, I understand now.

The key phrase in several ways is:

“After robbing the store, the men turned to Lovell.”

I just love how the journalist, a person whose profession claims to attend to stating facts, not hiding them, chooses to describe armed robbers as having “turned to” their victim. We can all picture what this means: after getting the cash, they pointed their weapons at their next victim. Omission of the weapons allows the reader to question the morality of the Marine’s shooting.

One could even go further and say this was a way of putting concealed carry permitees in a worse light, for the armed robbers only stole. The CCW holder killed people who had just "turned" to him. Never mind that had this reporter been the one they just "turned to", she would have feared for her life and maybe even been tempted to write a tearful story about how police must "get guns off the street".

Savage is right: Liberalism is a mental disorder.

It’s amazing how obvious it is, isn’t it? It also looks like the dead armed robbery dirtbag learned his values at the dinner table. I can’t wait to see their announcement when they find out that under Florida’s Stand Your Ground law, they can’t sue him, either.

But the men's friends and family want to know how he could gun them down and not be charged.

The family & friends have it right! Howinhell is an honest criminal supposed to make a decent living, if sneaky citizens carrying concealed weapons can shoot them with impunity? It's an outrage, I tell you; an OUTRAGE!

They didn’t charge him because he was a former member of the Marine presidential detail, sort of like professional courtesy. If it was me or you they would have made the charges stick and the option of getting a CCP would have been gone forever.

Too bad when the child kills innocent people in the commission of a crime and gets the death penalty they don´t execute the parents too for raising such a piece of shit.

The local MSM are camped out in front of the Marine’s townhouse. The dead perp’s friends & family members may join them.

The Marine may end up having to, late at night, pop someone right there on his front steps before it’s decided that he should be left alone.

“Dead men don’t sue”

True, but watch for a wrongful-death lawsuit from the family members.

In some states they are trying to outlaw such suits against successful, non-accused defenders of self or others.

I hope he is tempted to make a statement about how the perp learned his “morals and values” and from whom he learned them!
