Bush is not an idiot. As I explained (on national TV in 2000) he went to Yale and Harvard. Sadly, I failed to notice the flaws in the educational programs of these once excellent institutions. One does not need to be a deep thinker to graduate with a liberal arts degree from Yale and an MBA is largely technical. As much as I denigrate my alma mater, Columbia does force students to take a course on western civilization, where we read Plato.
Bush is what he has always been an elitist frat boy-turned business man. He has delegated most of our policy to works he likes. Meanwhile, he accepts far too many liberal assumptions because he lacks the intellectual depth and tools to challenge these.

I think that "dumb" is a pretty spot on adjective for Jorge Bush. I have never claimed he was an idiot. I would add drunken to "elitist frat boy". I honestly suspect that part of our current problem is that Jorge has resumed his close personal relationship with Jack Daniels.
