Actually Romney is in single digits or the low double digits in most of the national polls:

Fox News/Opinion Dynamics (6/27) - 8%
Rasmussen Reports (6/26) - 12%
CNN/Opinion Research (6/25) - 9%
Newsweek (6/23) - 12%
Cook/RT Strategies (6/19) - 7%
USA Today/Gallup - (6/18) - 7%
Harris (6/14) - 11%
American Research Group (6/13) - 10%
NBCNews/WSJ (6/13) - 14%
Quinnipiac (6/13) - 10%
LA Times/Bloomberg (6/11) - 10%
Associated Press/Ipsos (6/9) - 10%
McLaughlin & Associates (6/5) - 8%

Average across all polls: 8.3%

>>>They must have gone into a New York bar and polled the first 13 people they saw.<<<

More likely they went into the CBS lunch room as asked everyone to voice their preference for Democrat and Republican candidates.

Certainly a statistically valid cross section of America don't you know?

But he can't be! Not with that perfect head of hair, second only to "I'm so Pretty" Edwards. The guy with the best hair always wins!

No, the poll represents a ‘national’ look. This is simply what we all forget so easily. Many likely voters , more than represented say on this forum, are not even aware of Freepers. They see a name, respond on a general level. Nationally, Rudy does have a lead. When Fred actually gets in over the 4th or whenever, we will be able to see how he does nationally. My guess is that both of them will be on the ticket.

2nd D

This pol is so far out of touch it can only be answered by how they framed the questions.

Mc Cain is history

Romney is higher then listed

Ft maybe about right or could be a bit higher

leave it to CBS to tell us the truth!!!!

Yes Romney is flaming out in all the big states. But he is banking his campaign on the Iowa and NH momentum. Unfortuately for him, those states arent going to carry much clout anymore. Those of us in California and elsewhere on the coasts are tired of getting the skewed results of the Iowa farmers and new england weavers (Souter anyone?)
