Hezbollah.......and its allies, Syria and Iran. Time to see the Israelis go into action again! Go Israel!
To: Perdogg
So much for the vaunted Blue Berets. The only thing these guys are is human shields for Hezbollah once the fighting beings.

Did the Israelis EVER get the young soldier back that was kidnapped and preceded last summer’s conflict?

This time, if there is another provocation by Hezbollah, Israel should ignore them as much as possible and instead go after the weak link in this particular chain of terror: Iran's Bitch, Basher "The Pencil-Necked Geek" Assad.
Israel can't win a war with Hezbollah for any number of reasons. First the Israeli public won't support the long term incursion/occupation of Southern Lebanon that would be necessary to do this, and second that would in any case put Israel at odds with it's key allies in the West which support the Sinora government.
Finally going to war with Hezbollah only plays into and helps legitimize this terror org's cynical posturing as defenders of Lebanon. By ignoring Hezbollah (and going after Syria instead) Israel would embarrass Hezbollah by treating them as what they really are: pawns and puppets of Lebanon's enemies and would be imperialist overlords Syria and Iran.
In fact it wouldn't hurt a bit for Israel to engage in a bit of brinkmanship. Why leave that tactic solely to the thugs? Israel should announce in advance that they will hold Syria responsible for any aggression against Israel by Hezbollah, and that for as long as rockets are fired on Israel from Lebanon, Israeli bombs will fall on Syria.

Maybe Barak - sounds like someone throwing up - can just release a few hundred more prisoners in another goodwill gesture.
That should solve everything

P.M. Olmert's lost war whetted the appetites of Hezbollah and Hamas.
There's nothing ever that will get total victory over Israel out of Hamas and Hezbollah's mind.
This liberal Olmert might as well pursue a for him attainable plan, namely provide for safe refugee escapes for thos of his peole who do not want to exist under foreign occupiers.

There will be dead blue berets in the next action. They will have no protection and will be viewed as participators.
