Moyers attacking Murdock? He had better be careful picking on Hilary’s friend.
Isn’t Moyers famous for busting Rather Dan’s chops about those fake documents?
“[F]ewer and fewer independent sources of information have survived in the marketplace; and those few significant alternatives that do survive, such as PBS and NPR . . .”
Ahh, Bill: PBS and NPR have not survived in the marketplace. They survive by government subsidy.
I sometimes wonder whether Moyers is a full-blown moron, or an intelligent, lying SOB. This kind of language militates in favor of the former option.
“Bill Moyers.
Isnt he dead yet?”
Only the brain part, unfortunately.
“Bill Moyers is a no-good, lying SOB”
Those are his good points!
I demand this be followed by equal time, of Ann Coulter explaining why liberals are dumb.
Thank you.
Moron from the East Coast.
Well if he and they were at a conference for “media reform”—they’re looking in the wrong direction unless the reform they seek is more obtuse, spun and incomplete coverage of events.
Having Bill Moyers, one of the greatest liars and rip-off artists as a speaker says a lot about their goals.
And Moyer pulls in about 6 million a year in salary. Of your tax dollars.
I saw Bill Moyers do one of the most saccharine, cloying, sycophantic interviews of a nitwit environmentalist once, right after the Three Mile Island incident, where Moyers credulously accepted stories of two-headed calves, radiation miraculously concentrating itself after having been dispersed to virtual immeasurability by the winds.
Moreover, it was clear that he had no clue about the purpose of cooling towers, which normally emit a plume of condensed water vapor, as they were chosen as a bckdrop and were alluded to as some kind of “radiation emmitters” emiting clouds of radiation.
The whole thing was disgusting and Moyer’s role in it was central. he is either too stupid to be allowed in front of a camera (and that is stupid indeed) or he is an evil manipulator and has no standing to complain about ANY contrary views to his own.
As far as I am concerned Moyers belongs in the same rest home as Dan Rather.
What has he done for America?
HOWEVER, Fox needs to go back to it’s old ways that made me watch them with a passion.
Piss on Moyers, has he ever bought me a cup of coffee and a donut?
You are absolutely right on asking his importance.
After I posted this; I thought..the leopard has not changed his spots, same old attack on Fox, same old commentary, same old rant on the fairness in reporting by PBS, same attack on anything Right of Extreme Left...and as Simon would say on American Idol: "it is boring"!
I apologize to all the readership.
[Sits in the shame corner.]
Hey, watch that East Coast stuff!!
Sorry......I suffered for 16 years of Boston politics : )
NO apology is necessary. My comment was not really directed to you or your post. I incorrectly posted it to you, when I should have posted it to the general thread. For the most part I was just being sarcastic, as apparently Moyers is a legend in his own mind.
Please continue to post the latest news regarding Moyers & PBS as many are not aware of him or the media he uses to advance his wrong headed agenda. As more folks become internet savvy they must learn, as we did, about the techniques and media the progressives/liberals use to promote their agenda.
Again, thanks for this post and keep up the good work!
It is disgusting how they conduct themselves. They are not journalists they are political hacks. I am in the process of reading a book called “The Press” by Ellis Cose. It provided a good reference of an event that I had not known about except in passing. It was the incident where Rev. Jesse Jackson referred to Jews as “Hymies” and to New York City as “Hymietown” in January 1984 during a conversation with a black Washington Post reporter, Milton Coleman. Coleman soon found out what it was to be persona non gratis because he dared publish the comments with out consideration of the source, the politics, or color. Liberals are incapable of fairness because they define it as them getting a pass.
