Thanks for posting this.
Though Taheri’s produced nothing more than a bit of non-content filler - blah, blah, blah - at least the debate’s been opened.
France can save the current war on Terror by a timely intervention in Lebanon.
The US has lost its way on the War on Terror, and now fumbles on defense in Iraq when it should be on offense, attacking Syria, Iran, eventually eliminating the Sauds from the Arabian oil.
France can change that in four ways.
1. Politically. Show the world, and the US that there is a political will to stay on offense and clean up this mess.
2. Diplomatically. France can begin a push to condemn Syria and force the UN to provide diplomatic cover for an intervention in Lebanon and eventually Syria.
3. Strategically. If France is prepared to use armed force against Lebanon’s Terrorists, and clean out the Bekaa Valley, this will be a major change in the situation. At the same time, the US can find a way to invade Syria from Iraq, the mess there can be cleaned up.
4. Economically. The Terrorists in Lebanon and Syria are supported by Iranian and Arabian oil money. To stop this source of funds the US and France can use the example of Syria and Lebanon to convince the Iranians and the Sauds that they are next on the list of regime changes.
The US must return to offense, attacking nations that support Terror, and Syria is a good candidate.
Start in Lebanon and finish in Syria.
