I wish we could organize Republicans to demand that Mel Martinez step down. How is it that Bush gets to choose his party's rep?

The more I read about the 06 election, the more I'm convinced that the RNC engineered some of our losses, turned seats over to Democrats, in order to further Bush's amnesty agenda. We lost our majorities to Mexico--

Not only do we need a Prez that represents American citizens, but we need party leadership that actually represents the party.

That was pretty evident leading up to the election, but it was confirmed beyond any question when Tony Snow announced, "Now president bush has a congress he can work with."

BTW I should add that I agree with your tagline. The “elites” will certainly try to take revenge. Every time they pop up, we have to play Whackamole.

“Not only do we need a Prez that represents American citizens, but we need party leadership that actually represents the party.”

Very true.

In some ways, I don’t blame the President — he’s doing exactly what he has said he’d do all along. Amnesty for illegals has been a dream of his since the early 90’s.

Martinez is a different story. I don’t recall him ever telling anyone that, if elected Senator, he’d act like he was elected by illegal aliens and that the only American citizens he felt obligated to represent were fellow Hispanics.

He can’t be recalled, but 2012 will be here before we know it and it’ll be time to find an actual American conservative to support for his seat. The American conservative can be a Hispanic — I sort of hope that it is — but he’ll be an American first and not the racist we now have.
