You misunderstand. That’s the cost of Amnesty. THe fence and enforcing the existing laws will be only in the 10s of billions.

2.6 Trillion for AMNESTY BILL, not the fence.

Most smart conservatives will.

Not a chance! He doesn't have a snowballs' chance!

I prefer to have my vote earn me recognition. I refuse to throw it away on a "Ross Perot" wish.

We will have to start by at least keeping the wicked witch of NY out of the office in 2008. Perhaps after she has had the truth handed to her by the public we can start reforming politics status quo. Until then, we need to unite against her, no matter who the candidate is! She can never gain the power she seeks! America cannot survive Hitlery with the power of the most influential office on the planet! Get a clue!

If you do not see the danger in splitting the vote, you need to take another look. We screwed up once and got Slick Willy, are ya sure you want to see the DARKSIDE of that deal with the devil those two made?

The worst thing we could do right now is split the party in the next election. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, try to understand! We have to stick together in order to defeat this onslaught!

Dianne Feinstein complained that the status quo is de facto amnesty because the mass deportation of millions of illegal immigrants is logistically, politically and socially impractical.

Someone here said it best.."take the sugar off of the table and the ants will go away on their own..."...how much more simple can you make it????

In so doing, they may find that we can secure our borders without mass deportations and without making the presence of 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants within our borders permanent and irreversible.

And therein lies the problem, I think. None of these politicians are willing to let those 12 to 20 million leave and let the chips fall where they may. They have accelerated growth and propped up the economy through government borrowing and cheap labor and now think that these aliens MUST stay. And they obviously will go to any lengths to do it.

How is supporting Duncan Hunter in the primaries going to split the republican vote? The only way your Perot theory works is if Hunter runs as an independent in the general. We know that isn’t going to happen.

If Duncan Hunter were to win the primary, he sure as hell could beat Hillary in the general. I do not fear that woman. Everyone worries about the electablility of our candidates but IMO, Hillary is unelectable. Provided we nominate a good honorable conservative. Duncan Hunter is the best one running so far.

This is the primary season. We are expected to support the candidate of our choice. I am not going to jump on the bandwagon in support of a candidate I don’t have faith in just because a bunch of republicans are insecure of our ablility to defeat Hillary or any other dem.

Do the crime, pay the time (or in this case, be deported).

If I snuck into some other country in violation of their laws, I would expect no less.
I don’t understand why these politicians won’t admit that basic fact.

Instead, they call us bigots. Go figure.

Money and ideology. It’s for the “common good,” ya know?

When the socialists joing with big business and partner with government, you know we’re in trouble. :-(

Why do we Americans take this? How come we are not asking questions similar to those that Tom McClintock asked?

1. How many ILLEGAL ALIENS can we deport each year?
2. What rules are not working that is stopping us from finding and deporting, or arresting ILLEGAL ALIENS?
3. How can we make it tougher for ILLEGAL ALIENS to survive in America?
4. How come the public airwaves allows Spanish Stations? Instead of a fairness doctrine, how about a English doctrine?
5. Why has the number of employers penalized for hiring ILLEGAL ALIENS averaging about three companies a year?
6. Why do we have to know who is here, when it only important to determine if they are here legally so that they can be deported?
7. Why does it take so long to deport ILLEGAL ALIENS? Can’t we streamline the process, without giving amnesty?

Others?

I dpon’t care if it takes 10 years to deport them. As long as we secure the border, we can take our time getting rid of them. Without a secure border..12 million becomes 40 million.
