Here’s a starting point for expressing our discontent with the “masters of the universe” in the Senate and RNC... ALL Americans can sign this petition, not just Florida residents.

Dianne Feinstein complained that the status quo is de facto amnesty because the mass deportation of millions of illegal immigrants is logistically, politically and socially impractical.

Feinstein and her pro-amnesty cohorts (including the White House) are desperately attempting to convince us that only two options exist: amnesty or mass deportation. ...and that the latter is "logistically, politically and socially impractical." So amnesty it is.

What they're not saying is that plenty of options exist to get the illegals to self-deport. .....specifically, cutting off the welfare freebies and going after the illegal-hiring employers in earnest. Options unthinkable to most Beltway politicos, of course. ....especially those in the pockets of big biz.

Your words have been marked and I”ll to agree with you.

I long had a feeling that nothing was going to be accomplished with the legislation. The pols decided long ago that they would run immigration reform up the flagpole, garner all sorts of constituent comments and then let it fall by the wayside and claim, “Well, we tried, but we just didn’t have the votes.” Both sides used the same excuse and we are left with the ongoing problem because none want to be associated with either side of the issue. Meanwhile, they’ll all come home and glad-hand their constituents, ask for monies for their re-election so they can tackle the problem.

The problem is Congress. Time to clean house.

“Tom will end up endorsing Hunter. Mark my words.”

Most smart conservatives will.

He is also right about unless our current laws are enforced, more immigration laws are worthless. Just more feelgoodism.

My e-mail to the white house and various senators: Mr. President, perhaps you and I have one thing in common, our strong feelings about the issue of illegal immigration. It should be obvious to even the most casual observer that you have to do something other than the status quo or the provisions of the senate bill.

Until we have security and some semblance of border control, most Americans will not support any benefits, amnesty, or whatever you want to do to help the illegal immigrant. This is the basic problem with your philosophy and those who supported the legislation. Security first. Then we will listen to other changes.

You need to impress upon us that you care more about us then you do illegal immigrants. And some of us have relatives waiting years to get in and the people you support can walk across tonight. THEY MUST GET IN LINE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!

Here is my proposal. Feel free to run with it.

1. Do the job you swore to do. Enforce the current laws. Support and reinforce the officers working the border. Support a federal law directing local police and other law enforcement to take action to detain and initiate deportation of those here illegally. Jail employers of illegal immigrants.

2. No benefits for those in the country illegally. Exception, those with true emergency medical conditions will receive treatment while their deportation is initiated.

3. Initiate a constitutional amendment to stop the anchor baby phenomenon.

4. Build the fence.

5. Change the immigration quotas to reflect real needs justified by industry and/or states. Make the justifications public. So the average American knows how many we are allowing in and why. We will support something logical, fair, and needed AFTER our security is taken care of.

Milton Friedman: A country cannot simultaneously be a welfare state and have open borders.

Has anyone currently posted, in bullet point form, all of the current laws on the books that could be enforced?

the mass deportation of millions of illegal immigrants is logistically, politically and socially impractical.

Ms Feinstein, just how many at a time would be considered practical by you? If we can't deport 12 million at a time, how many could we deport at a time?

Hunter deserves more recognition than he gets, if we really wish to save and maintain a strong America

In so doing, they may find that we can secure our borders without mass deportations and without making the presence of 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants within our borders permanent and irreversible.

And therein lies the problem, I think. None of these politicians are willing to let those 12 to 20 million leave and let the chips fall where they may. They have accelerated growth and propped up the economy through government borrowing and cheap labor and now think that these aliens MUST stay. And they obviously will go to any lengths to do it.

Why do we Americans take this? How come we are not asking questions similar to those that Tom McClintock asked?

1. How many ILLEGAL ALIENS can we deport each year?
2. What rules are not working that is stopping us from finding and deporting, or arresting ILLEGAL ALIENS?
3. How can we make it tougher for ILLEGAL ALIENS to survive in America?
4. How come the public airwaves allows Spanish Stations? Instead of a fairness doctrine, how about a English doctrine?
5. Why has the number of employers penalized for hiring ILLEGAL ALIENS averaging about three companies a year?
6. Why do we have to know who is here, when it only important to determine if they are here legally so that they can be deported?
7. Why does it take so long to deport ILLEGAL ALIENS? Can’t we streamline the process, without giving amnesty?

Others?

I would like to see McClintock run against either Dumb or Dumber(Boxer or Feinstein).

As far as the presidential race goes, unless they catch Fred Thompson in bed with a live boy or a dead girl; he will be the next POTUS.

Build the fence, enforce laws about employment or change them to read, “If you employ an illegal alien, YOU will go to jail.” (Same goes for housing.) If an illegal gets arrested, send his sorry butt back to wherever he came from, by parachute drop if need be.

In addition, illegal children should NOT be allowed into public schools, and since it appears necessary, amend the Constitution to clarify what “natural-born citizen” means, i.e., only children born of LEGAL residents should have the term applied to them.

Do those things and many of the illegals will either not even bother coming here or will go home pronto.

Oh, and one more thing: Why is it nearly impossible to get legal residence if you are from western Europe? The quotas should also be MUCH more fairly distributed. Teddy Kennedy really screwed us up with THAT little piece of his work back in ‘65, didn’t he?

Regards,

the mass deportation of millions of illegal immigrants is logistically, politically and socially impractical......

Ummm Diane Swinesteine ....ya cunnin runt.......stop hiring em, punish employers who do hire them. Allow illegals to file suit against employers who use em as slave labor after (insert date here_______) etc etc ..........and employers won't touch em with a ten foot pole !

IMO (suggested solution) They'll walk home themselves or get shot, captured etc while committing crimes against native, born or naturalized Americans. The rest aka hardcore will get picked up , deported or buried as well. No employer will risk the fines or seizure of assets for the cheap slave labor illegals provide.

I fail to see anything but profit for business from amnesty. Illegal now works for peanuts. After Amnesty s/he will work for Prime Rib. The profit margin for the owner of the business will remain the same yet the increased cost of hiring a new naturalized American with rights will be placed upon the consumer via higher prices for services formally provided by "illegals".......

Thus my proposed solution of going after the profiteers who are selling out the rest of us for personal gain. Take away the sugar and the ants will look elsewhere for food ! Time for people who love America to vote with their dollars ! Later we remove the rino/rat republicrats as we flush seditious incumbents in 2008, 10, 12 ........

One thing the recent "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" revealed is the US Senate sees themselves aligned with the private jet/country club crowd. They believe that not only do the 12 to 30 million illegal aliens belong here, but that the immigration spigots must be opened even wider "for the sack of our economy". They don't comprehend the normal working stiffs are against further immigration because they see their wages being depressed while their taxes and health care costs go up because of immigrants, legal and illegal. Now this bitch Finestien has the nerve to say there is no vehicle to enforce the current laws. Right.

The US Senate, lying to the American public since at least 1986!

God bless McClintock. The following is my take on this issue (which seems to line up with his pretty closely):

New Immigration Bill:

1. Secure our borders with physical walls if need be and uphold/reiterate existing immigration laws (no need for new ones).

2. Immediately deport all illegal aliens in jail and in prison.

3. Give those that see the will of the American people, a chance to return south of the border (many will after seeing the first two items implemented).

4. Force a screening process for all illegals who remain in the US and put them through the same rigors as a legal immigrant including pledges of allegiance to the USA and to learning our language. Those who don't cooperate are deported.

5. As we secure our borders from illegal immigration, may we resolve to continue the fight to preserve our language, borders and culture.

Maybe an addendum that we don't forget to welcome legal immigrants with open arms remembering that throughout our history, they have often proved to be the most patriotic and hard working of all our citizens.
