My plea to fellow Muslims: you must renounce terror
Guardian ^ | 7/1/07 | Hassan Butt

Posted on 07/02/2007 4:19:04 AM PDT by GeorgiaDawg32

As the bombers return to Britain, Hassan Butt, who was once a member of radical group Al-Muhajiroun, raising funds for extremists and calling for attacks on British citizens, explains why he was wrong.

When I was still a member of what is probably best termed the British Jihadi Network, a series of semi-autonomous British Muslim terrorist groups linked by a single ideology, I remember how we used to laugh in celebration whenever people on TV proclaimed that the sole cause for Islamic acts of terror like 9/11, the Madrid bombings and 7/7 was Western foreign policy.

By blaming the government for our actions, those who pushed the 'Blair's bombs' line did our propaganda work for us. More important, they also helped to draw away any critical examination from the real engine of our violence: Islamic theology.

Friday's attempt to cause mass destruction in London with strategically placed car bombs is so reminiscent of other recent British Islamic extremist plots that it is likely to have been carried out by my former peers.

And as with previous terror attacks, people are again articulating the line that violence carried out by Muslims is all to do with foreign policy. For example, yesterday on Radio 4's Today programme, the mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, said: 'What all our intelligence shows about the opinions of disaffected young Muslims is the main driving force is not Afghanistan, it is mainly Iraq.'

He then refused to acknowledge the role of Islamist ideology in terrorism and said that the Muslim Brotherhood and those who give a religious mandate to suicide bombings in Palestine were genuinely representative of Islam.

Excellent article. Unfortunately though the violence endemic to Is_Lame is in the cannon of Is-Lame - The Jihadi are simply doing the lords work, as defined in the Quran.

This is really what no one wants to talk about, especially the Western press. Until the fountainhead and history of Is-Lamic violence is understood for what it is, little real progress can be made.

In the modern West the whole idea of what religion is supposed to be works against our being able to deal effectively with Is-Lame, which is not now nor has ever been a “religion of peace”.

Better yet, renounce the moon god and go with the real one.

This needs to be a U.N. effort.

No renunciation of violence = No religion.

It’s not terrorism, it’s Islamic missionary outreach.

I always wonder how Livingstone, Islamic organizations, and others of their ilk can ignore men like Hassan who ADMIT that such terror groups exist.

Talk about delusion and denial.

Many mush-headed lefties indulge in delusion and denial.

But you should be aware that "the left" serves as breeding-ground and sanctuary for a contingent of truly dangerous people who hate humanity, and particularly middle-class European-oriented humanity, with a passion. They believe that the middle-class, family-oriented lifestyle is a greater evil than that of Hitler, or Stalin, or Pol Pot, or Saddam Hussein. They believe that "middle America" must be punished, and punished harshly, for simply existing, although they rationalize this obviously insane idea with tripe about how that class and category of society is "killing the earth," responsible for "global warming," or "suburban sprawl," or any of a laundry list of supposed amorphous crimes.

Others have observed that these sentiments, which sound like madness to most normal people, are born of intense self-hatred, deep feelings of inadequacy and alienation. Perhaps this is the case for some percentage of this category of leftists. But there is another percentage that is, in my opinion, motivated by pure evil.

These people applaud the actions of the islamic nazis, because they are punishing the people who most believe in and benefit from the achievements of western Judeo-Christian civilization.

A religion founded by a murderous warlord, hell bent on killing unbelievers.

How did this religion of war so far off track that they now call it a religion of peace? Mohamed must be rolling in his grave.

Hassan Butt will be beaten within an inch of his life or outright dead within a year. I’m sure the Imam’s are working up a Fatwa right now.

They remind me of rebellious self-destructive adolescents, ‘rebels without a cause’ who would be happy to bring down the house on their own heads.

Thiis is an important article.

“By blaming the government for our actions, those who pushed the ‘Blair’s bombs’ line did our propaganda work for us. More important, they also helped to draw away any critical examination from the real engine of our violence: Islamic theology.”

Another description of Lenin’s useful idiots.
