National polls are meaningless at this point. Let’s see what Mitt’s fundraising totals are in the next few days. If Guiliani or Thompson do win, then that says to me that Republicans have given up on the prospects for 2008. Either they are going to stick with the “If you don’t elect us, the Dems will kill us all strategy” or the “Y’all come back now, ‘ya hear” southern approach. Neither strategy is a long-term winner.
