The incident described in the article is typical for third-world politics. It’s never a discussion of ideas, it’s always violence and intimidation. It’s what’s going on in Mexico right now with the ongoing murdering of journalists. The last presidential election in Mexico was close, so the losing socialist candidate encouraged violent protests. You probably saw the reaction in France by the third-world immigrants to Sarkozy’s election. With 12-20 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. today we can probably expect more of this sort of thing.

It doesn’t sound as if the police are trying very hard to identify and arrest the perps. They IDed one of them from the surveillance cameras. Isn’t that enough for an arrest?

The prep schooI attended one year had its’ lower pasture at teh confluence of the Crystal and Roaring Fork rivers. It is hard for me to accept that the local police won’t bother locating a man who shot five holes in a 7-11 window.

It is even harder for me to accept that they were giving a man a hard time about his cap posssibly “offending” some illegal immigrant, probably some La Raza type from Mexico.

The local donut eaters appear to have behavior and motives more appropriate to Los Angeles than rural Colorado.

Hint to the donut eaters: Being “offended” doesn’t justify shooting up a store. Not even if the perp is an illegal immigrant.
