Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond has promised that no community will be victimised because of the terrorist attack on Glasgow Airport.
Salmond discusses airport attackAfter praising the response of the emergency services after a burning Jeep was rammed into the terminal building, he said the police would not be looking for scapegoats.
"Community bonds will remain strong," he said.
He added that terror attacks were opportunistic rather than discriminatory, and repeated calls for the public to remain vigilant.
Mr Salmond said the people who carried out Saturday's attack had not been in Scotland "very long".
He said: "Scots society is very strong, with a strong sense of community.
"In Scotland, the Muslim community is part of the fabric of society, and is hugely important for social life. And this community link will remain strong."
Mr Salmond said the speed at which the emergency services had the airport up and running after the attack was amazing. He also praised travellers for their patience.
Mr Salmond insisted Scotland had not been complacent about the terrorist threat and was well prepared to cope with it.

Why desn’t this moromn read the Muslims the riot act and tell them if they want to remain part of the fabric of society then they need to clean up their act and drive out the terrorists among them.

Ask the average Scot if that is true and you’ll get a much different answer.
All this blather, ever since 9/11, about “going on with our lives as if there were no danger” is simply, in my opinion, pap to prevent people really concentrating on the danger, the threat, the people responsible - and then the logical consequences of this thought: the firebombing of mosques and other similar occurrances here in the US. And who is the main proponent of the thought that most moslems are peaceful people? Holy George, of course.
This First Minister Alex Salmon latches on to an opportunuty when he sees one.
Go get the Muslim vote as long there’s no Muslim party.
LOL those wonderful muslims this priest loves so much would hang him by his feet and cut his throat if they had shar’ia law in Britain and could get away with it.
