Heck in 2004, which had 6 category 3 or higher storms and saw Florida hit by Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne, had NO ACTIVITY of any kind till July 31st.

No major snow storms in North America, either. This is absolute proof of global warming.

The big ones seem to hit the Cape Fear region of NC around mid September.
I’ll stop holding my breath about the 10th of October.
But as a side note - the chain saw has fresh gas, the generator has been checked, 5 gallon gas cans ready to be filled, yard truck topped off (27 gal.), nonperishable food layed in and emergency supplies checked.
Good storm coming into the FL/GA area and I’m off to the store for water, fresh batteries and perishable food stuffs.

That wasn’t even a decent thunderstorm and I am still suspicious about the so-called winds they based the call on.

It isn’t the people on FR who make the official predictions and set the months of the “season.”

I'm sure the explanantion will be that the upper atmosphere is connected to the lower atmosphere and when the upper atmosphere is saturated with blah, blah, blah.
I just go to my Almanac and look at the stats of the cycles of hurricanes to reinforce the idea that "weather changes" and is unpredictable "long term" and even short term.
