Hands down, IMO, the playing of the race card is what has silenced so many Americans. Many folks I’ve talked to are ‘wispering’ to each other how they feel on this issue because they are afraid of being racist.

It cuts both ways. There are indeed liberals who throw down the charge of racism at the drop of the hat without any grounds whatsoever. However, anti-PC is just as PC as PC itself. Unfortunately too many conservatives have been so put off the by liberal charges of racism that they often refuse to admit the presence of real racism when the charge is just and right.

Yeah, but I have to admit I point to the nuttiest things I see on DU as an example of how extreme that site is. I’m sure there are people who pluck things from here.

The difference is that vile and obscene are the norm on the DU, you have to look for those here.

Don’t bother with him, he’s the Hispanic equivalent of the Rev. Sharpton.

I am really, really tired of people designating me as racist because I support enforcement of the law and protection of my country.

I see British Politicians complaining about how porous their borders are, and we all know what's been going on there.

Inasmuch as Britain is an *island* nation, then they already have a nature-provided "fence" much better than anything men could devise. So, how then, could their borders be considered "pourous", by any stretch of the imagination?

A good question, I'll get back to you after some digging.
