ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed concern about the safety of British Muslims of Pakistani origin after recent failed terrorist attempts in Britain.
We are concerned about the security and safety of people of Pakistani origin, but we are sure that the UK government will take steps to ensure their safety, Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam told a weekly briefing here on Monday. She also condemned the terrorist plots in Britain. She said that Pakistan had no information about the perpetrators of the attacks and the British authorities had not asked Pakistan for any help or information.
Brits aren’t running around cutting people’s heads off, and as far as I know, there are no parts of England that are so dangerous, lawless, and heavily armed that the Queen has let them become semi autonomous border regions where hostile forces lord over the mud huts.
I’m curious. I wonder if the Pakistani foreign office recommended that British muslims of Pakistani origin return to Pakistan, where their safety could be assured?
