Officials in suburban Jefferson Parish recently banned the trucks as eyesores and health hazards.

Apparently these officials haven't seen very much of New Orleans. Most of the city is an eyesore.

Still, the Jefferson Parish councilman who restricted the trucks characterized them as unwanted residue from the hurricane.

I've heard some professional Katrina victims described that very same way...

A brief on Spanish rule in New Orleans.

They had a similar problem with Americans.

New Orleans has seen its Hispanic population rise from 15,000 before the storm to an estimated 50,000 now, according to the city. The city's overall population has dropped from about 450,000 before the storm to about 250,000 now.

Typical sloppy journalism -- 1 in 5 people in the city are NOT Hispanic. There has been a huge influx, but there are not 50,000 in the city. The metro area may now have that many, but the dipshit author is using the city (not metro) population numbers (250K).

Let’s not mince words here and fall into the lamestream media’s cries of racism. After hurricane Katrina droves of illegal migrant laborers primarily from Mexico and latin American countries arrived there seeking employment. Just a fact. The MSM is trying to link “hispanic” with the above fact and fan the flames of racism that’s really not there.

Mississippi is chock full of illegal invaders. We lead the country in illegals per capita.

Five deaths in the last week (locally) were directly caused by illegals (murder and vehicular homicide). Murders involving illegals are an all too often occurance these days... and we had only a hand full of murders a year across three counties.

There are taco trucks all over Georgia too. They bear the usual patterned aluminum truck bodies that characterize the classic roach coach, but with Mexican fare.

They drive from one construction zone to another. That should tell you who is building all our houses. They don't sell any steenking cheeseburgers.
