Soft on Crime [NY Times Barfer]
New York Times ^ | 07/03/07 | NY Times Omniscient Editorial Board

Posted on 7/3/2007, 3:42:56 AM by Enchante

"Mr. Libby was convicted of lying to federal agents investigating the leak of the name of a covert C.I.A. operative, Valerie Wilson. Mrs. Wilson’s husband, Joseph Wilson, was asked to investigate a central claim in Mr. Bush’s drive to war with Iraq — whether Iraq tried to purchase uranium from Africa. Mr. Wilson concluded that Iraq had not done that and had the temerity to share those conclusions with the American public.

It seems clear from the record that Vice President Dick Cheney organized a campaign to discredit Mr. Wilson. And Mr. Libby, who was Mr. Cheney’s chief of staff, was willing to lie to protect his boss."

Drivel from the fossils of the New York Times editorial board. We should be allowed to prosecute MSM hacks for PERJURY every time the mis-state fundamental facts of great public importance, such as the ludicrous and repeatedly disproved assertion above that Joe Wilson had in any way shown that Iraq had never sought to obtain uranium in "Africa"....... never mind that Joe Wilson NEVER shed any doubt on the actual statement of the "16 words" in the SOTU address that it was BRITISH INTELLIGENCE that was reporting so.......

The scum of the MSM continues to re-write history in this way, just layering lie upon lie in their stories and hoping they will not be stopped. If the NY Times editors and writers were to be held to the kind of standard they demand for Libby, ALL of those scumbags would be in jail. I'm beginning to think there are no honest MSM journalists at all, because no honest person could or would continue to work among such political whores and charlatans of the left.

The New York Times thinks Bush did it to save his ass and appease what's left of the conservative base. Yeah, right. They're mind-readers, too.

I agree 100%, and Rameriez should walk as well.

There just doesn't seem to be any limit to how lowdown that "paper" can go.

Well that's a political thing that, you know, sort of goes around. Heck, some of the stuff they say isn't even true.

That's right, some of the things politicians say are made up out of whole cloth. You know, lies. Some tell so many of them it's difficult to distinguish them from the media hacks reporting on them.

Amazingly, I agree with the New York Times that President Bush has been soft on crime. He should take immediate steps to remedy that deficiency, starting by prosecuting Bill Keller and the other traitors at the New York Times for their crimes...

No, he did it to help a crony. But for reasons that I can't figure out, it seems to have made some of the base happy.

Frankly, I don't understand why so many who are part of the conservative base give a fig about whether the crony of a RINO president serves time in Club Fed or not. I certainly don't. Why do you?

The NYT bathhouse boys (and their waterboys on FR) can’t stand to see the Conservative base happy for someone for just a few hours.

Stop this nonsense and get back to BDS!

When he was running for president, George W. Bush loved to contrast his law-abiding morality with that of President Clinton, who was charged with perjury and acquitted.

It took the NYT one sentence before it told a outright boldfaced dispicable lie. Clinton was NEVER charged with purjury, and therefore was never acquitted of the crime.
