Good move by Wal-mart. It won't please the Left but it will make Middle America happy.

"Wal-Mart should be ashamed that it would define its support for the GLBT community as 'highly controversial,' while it ignores its explicit support for right-wing George Bush-style Republicans whose policies have cost America middle-class jobs, worsened our health-care system, helped poison our environment and blindly support failed strategies in Iraq," Blank said in a statement. If I weren't already a Wal-Mart shopper, that statement alone would convince me to become one.

"...with a company as large as Wal-Mart, attaining equality with heterosexuals "is not going to happen as fast as many of us would like," It would "happen" real quick if you kept your problem to yourself. It's your compulsion to say "look at me!!!!" that causes the "Aww Jeeese, not this again". Come to work, work hard, go home. See, that was easy! But noooooo, can't let it go at that!

Groups should not be granted special privileges based on their behavior. Gay is not who you are, gay is what you do.

The unions should be involved in wages, hours, and terms of employment and nothing else if they are successful in organizing Wal-Mart.
Spending members union dues on anything associated with GLBT should be challenged by union members.
Wal-Mart has made a smart business move.

Hey, great timing. I’ll be camping when the next Harry Potter book comes out and the nearest place to get a copy will be the local WalMart.
