Wilson Lambastes White House on Libby Case-(Gub'ment Funded Anti-Bush Propoganda On NPR)
MPR-Morning Edition ^ | 7-3-07 | NPR

Posted on 07/03/2007 7:59:31 AM PDT by tcrlaf

Morning Edition, July 3, 2007 · President Bush's decision to commute I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's prison sentence proves that "this administration is corrupt to the core," said Ambassador Joseph Wilson, the former diplomat whose wife was at the center of the CIA leak investigation that sparked the Libby case.

In denouncing the Bush administration, Wilson told NPR, "I would only hope that Americans now realize, with this subversion of our system of justice and the rule of law in this country, just exactly how corrupt they are."

After Wilson wrote skeptically about U.S. claims that Iraq was shopping for enriched uranium in Africa, his wife, Valerie Plame, was identified as a CIA analyst in a syndicated newspaper column. The charges against Libby grew out of an investigation into the leak of Plame's identity.

Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, was convicted in March of perjury and obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison and fined $250,000.

OK...

Why am I THE ONLY ONE asking why Wilson hasn't been willing to TESTIFY UNDER OATH, yet?

And why is the MSM giving him a stage?

Funny, I thought the same about 900 FBI files and C.L..

Wilson and Plame should have been the ones on the Hot seat in the first place. This is ridiculous.

‘After Wilson wrote skeptically about U.S. claims ‘

WRONG.

After Joe Plame LIED REPEATEDLY, first as an ‘anonymous source’ then when that didn’t work, OPENLY in the infamous NYT ‘op/ed’.

He’s not even as credible as Dan Rather at this point.

Because the MSM are political orgs, who have hired Dim hacks to pose as journalists, who have brilliantly conducted a 24/7/365 political campaign against Republicans for 40 years running.

And Americans have fallen for this ruse, because Conservatives haven’t the guts or talent to defeat these shysters.

Yet.

Joe Wilson, you moron! Here's the culprit!

And for some odd reason he wasn't indicted? Did you ever wonder why?

I think Joe Wilson believes the Federal government exists solely for his benefit. Which, given his past history, is understandable.

(Gub’ment Funded Anti-Bush Propoganda On NPR)

And the RAT/lib/socialists think we need the Fairness Doctrine! If not for talk radio, FR, etc., there would be NO rebuttal to the drive-by media!!

Bush could have asked the CIA for real proof that an agent had been outed before he appointed a special prosecutor.

Not that I’d give up my Chuckie Schemer toilet paper or anything. I’m no fan of the schmuck.

If the fairness doctrine were in place, NPR would have to allow someone like Ann Coulter to come on and point out Joe Wilson lied about why he was assigned to go to Niger and how Patrick Fitzgerald abused his office by continuing his witch hunt, err, investigation well after he learned who leaked the name of Valarie Plame. Thanks for this post, but you could have added the barf alert.

Yep. I can see junior Dem hacks Plame/Wison peddling their idea to Chuckie, who says, "Great! I'll get my staff to draft Joe's op-ed to the Times....". That's exactly how they play the game.

Hey Joe, if a commutation of a jail sentence is corrupt---what's a pardon worth? I'm sure Joe will be front in center in exposing the Clinton admin pardons. Since we got two for the price of one, Hillary will have no problem explaining hubby's pardons of terrorists and felons. /sarc

It’s Tough for the left to accept this utter failure...

They finally “Got” somebody connected to Bush, and expected him to turn states evidence at the Cheney Impeachment, which would lead to the Bush Impeachment, which would vindicate all the lies they have swallowed since the 2000 “Selection”....

After all they had invested in the lies of the gay radical Socialists at Truthout over the Rove Inquisition, they had to have SOMETHING pan out to keep the checks coming.

It’s hard for the liberal mind to accept failure, and even when they do, it MUST be someone else’s fault.

Bottom line is that this administration was duped by bad intelligence on Iraq’s supposed WMD. They were desperate to pin anything on Iraq and in so doing lied about uranium deal.

Just watched the silly press acting like a pack of wolves with Tony in the WH press conf. for thirty minutes. You would think that Bush had murdered someone and got off scot free. Plain disgusting. With a commute of sentence, Libby can still go ahead with his appeal and win it. I’m betting that he asked the pres. to commute instead of pardon. A pardon implies guilt. Schooter wants to be vindicated. I don’t blame him.
