Personally, I believe the punishment should fit the crime.

When picking the punishment the court should assess the manner in which the victim suffered.

"Lfe, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." If you stick a pipe up somebody's @ss and scream racial epithets then quid pro quo should be applied. A slow agonizing gang rape? An earwig might be in order!

Well since we’re talking about personal preferences I believe the person should have a trial. An updated version of a trial not the jokes we have today then we do like they do in Afghanistan, take the prisoner to a local sports stadium and give him to the family of the victim and the neighbors. Enough said.
