And 9/11 was never repeated because of Bush's attentive leadership.

Please don't take a hit here, this is an honest question.

Have you ever really thought about this? Do you really believe this is due to Bush's attentive leadership?

If this were true, it would be the only area where he has shown competency or that he wants to protect this country.

In fact, with open borders it is impossible to prevent such attacks.

There's an elephant in this room that no one can see.

Just my opinion.

“Do you really believe this is due to Bush’s attentive leadership? (no attacks since 9/11)”

Have you heard of the Patriot Act or the so called domestic spying operation, or the proactive preemptive attacks on the Middle East breeding grounds, or the detention center outside the US called Gitmo, or..... need I go on.

Unfortunately, you're 100% correct.

Yes, I do think 9/11 was never repeated because of Bush's attentive leadership. It occurred because of Clinton's inattention. I think Bush is quite competent, when he is focused and his priorities are clear. In fact, has competently prevented the securing of the Mexican Border and the halting of further illegal immigration. He damn near pulled off passage of that omnibus "immigration reform bill"; it took a grass roots insurgency of the American people to stop him.

I think you're right. There are elephants in the room whose presence many choose to deny. That's another way of saying that there is no limit to the human capacity for denial.

One of these is the nature and goal of Islam. Countless people--including Bush--refuse to believe what Muslims themselves and what Islam itself openly admit to be their beliefs and goals.

Another is the fact that Bush has no intention of closing the Mexican Border and halting illegal immigration. Just what his agenda is still is not clear, at least to me, but he definitely has an undisclosed agenda.
