I went with my husband to find out the results of his throat biopsy that a ME doctor did. Thinking these ME men who doctor in US would be different I extended my hand as a greeting. He just gave me a frightening look, did not shake my hand or ever look into my eyes again. He will never touch my husband again.

Did you report this to anybody, especially if this was an HMO doctor, or a VA doctor, or to his medical group? He is paid for rendering a service. If he is so strong a Muslim that shaking a female's hand is a problem, how does he really feel about (and medically treat) non-Muslims of either sex? Trust your husband is in better hands and that this event does not go un-corrected.

No, I didn’t report it, but he will never go to him as long as I’m alive.
