Don’t just take it, strike back. Bring a big pot of, say, chili or Louisiana pork stew. The normal people at the picnic will love you, and the vagueans can go suck wind.

Plants are living things too. They just need to quit eating altogether. LOL

“A recent UN report has pointed out that the meat industry is ‘one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global’.

********The UN says it, so it must be so — NOT!*********

“Researchers at the University of Chicago have determined that switching to a vegan diet is more effective in countering global warming than switching from a standard American car to a Toyota Prius.”

HUH? What the HE-double hockey sticks?????
These are the two most stupid statements I have read in a long time!

How much carbon footprint is it taking to put together this whole concert, on 7 continents? How much energy will they use at the concerts? I imagine the amount of electricity is quite substantial to do all the light and sound stuff, never mind all those smelly people getting to and from the concerts.

They should also ban cars at all the concert venues have everybody walk.

“...Plants are living things too. They just need to quit eating altogether. LOL...”

Just think of all the grass that’s going to be walked on (& smoked) at this shindig. Since it is a living being, at least in the eyes of the crowd in question, they should be restricted to using the concrete walkways, parking lots, and other concreted places to gather. Isn’t the surface at Wembley natural grass?

If you are going to restrict activity at the Live Earth concerts because of hypocrisy, you might as well cancel the whole shebang as they did in Brazil and Turkey.

Al Gore Jr. “burned records” with his wife when they headed the PMRC Senate hearings into obscenity in rock music. I guess that they sock-wearing heroin using Red Hot Chili Peppers get a pass this time around. Wonder what has changes.

The Arctic Monkeys refused to play and pointed out that the stage lighting outfit alone uses enough energy to power 10 homes.

The Turkish concert was cancelled over security fears of (Islamic?) terrorism and environmental protesters.

What about pot? Are they going to prohibit that too? I doubt it, because nobody would come.

Should the starving wretches in North Korea or Darfur be exempt from the “guiltfest”? Should they die of starvation rather than eat meat or fish?

PETA used to be funny...

She said: "There's no such thing as a meat eating environmentalist.

Political correctness is not a menu ideology. You either have to swallow the whole thing or else you are "politically incorrect" and must undergo "diversity training" (aka political re-education).

If this is a worldwide concert, the tv audience is expected to be larger than that at the venues.

Why even have it at a big stadium? Why not play in a tv studio?

"We're saying, it's all a very good cause and obviously we're very supportive, but one thing seems to have been missed, which is that even the UN say that the meat industry causes more greenhouse gases than all the cars, trucks, ships and planes in the world combined.

1) Show me this in print.

2) So, should we kill all the cows to prevent them from destroying us? Or do we let them live out of respect for their lives, and let them roam in the streets like sacred beings, as they do in India? How will either choice help the environment?

3) To quote Futurama "You're vegetarians! Who cases what you think?"

Imagine all the people having to suffer through veggie food. A whole generation raised on meat finally facing the reality of dealing with controlling hippies.

Johnny Ramone and other punks (including Leggs McNeil) pointed out that punk was a strike back against the dogmatic politics and hypocrisy of politically correct hippies.

Announce to tens of thousands of stoned and munchie laden hippies that there will be NO meat served from the concessions... and these animal rights jerks will find themselves the main entree!

To: Still Thinking

Being civilized to a liberal means not eating meat because it is “morally wrong” but it is okay to engage in homosexuality because it can be observed in the animal kingdom.
