Madness. Counterproductive. Cows produce methane and should be eaten to control green house gases.

Make my wine and my meat RED.

If they really cared about Mother Earth they wouldn’t burn the carbon fuels to put on the gig nor would event-goers burn the carbon fuels to get there and back.

Don’t serve any food. Most food processing is bad for the environment. Don’t sell anything to drink. Bottled water requires shipping and the use of petroleum. All other contained beverages requires production that is bad for the environment and causes global warming. All music is to be done without electricity as this causes carbon emmisions. And no one should use any fuel burning vehicles to get to the show.

What concert?

Our company summer picnic used to be a Vegan affair because of all the leftist cry-babies that work here. People would order meat-lovers pizza & have it delivered to the picnic.

The vegans would get soooooo angry, but I always thought it was hilarious.

It’s going to take at least two days to clean up all the trash the concert-goers are going to leave behind.

And all the water used to do laundry and to shower is a waste of gaia’s precious blood. Too much sunlight and farmland is used in the growth of the patchouli plant. Most of the plant is wasted when only the oil is used.

"If God didn't want us to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?" -- Homer J. Simpson

I love what I call the PETA Paradox: They believe we're morally equivalent to animals and they further believe that this means we have no right to kill and eat or otherwise use animals for out benefit.

But...the [other] anumals use each other for food, etc., so if we're morally indistinguishable, shouldn't we just strive to be the baddest animal on the block, doing what all our animal brethren do as well as we possibly can?

If they believe we should follow some type of moral framework in our interaction with animals, it means they think we're different, in fact superior.

Here’s a novel suggestion for the complainers: Don’t pick up the hot dogs at the food court. It’s that simple, no reason to dictate what others may eat. But then, what’s a liberal to do if not dictate what others eat. Or do? Or say...

Wembley Stadium is set to host the London Live Earth on Saturday, and will see acts including Madonna, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Damien Rice, James Blunt, Razorlight and the Pussycat Dolls perform to draw attention to global warming.

And past cocaine and heroin binges.

“A recent UN report has pointed out that the meat industry is ‘one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global’.

********The UN says it, so it must be so — NOT!*********

“Researchers at the University of Chicago have determined that switching to a vegan diet is more effective in countering global warming than switching from a standard American car to a Toyota Prius.”

HUH? What the HE-double hockey sticks?????
These are the two most stupid statements I have read in a long time!

How much carbon footprint is it taking to put together this whole concert, on 7 continents? How much energy will they use at the concerts? I imagine the amount of electricity is quite substantial to do all the light and sound stuff, never mind all those smelly people getting to and from the concerts.

If you are going to restrict activity at the Live Earth concerts because of hypocrisy, you might as well cancel the whole shebang as they did in Brazil and Turkey.

Al Gore Jr. “burned records” with his wife when they headed the PMRC Senate hearings into obscenity in rock music. I guess that they sock-wearing heroin using Red Hot Chili Peppers get a pass this time around. Wonder what has changes.

The Arctic Monkeys refused to play and pointed out that the stage lighting outfit alone uses enough energy to power 10 homes.

The Turkish concert was cancelled over security fears of (Islamic?) terrorism and environmental protesters.
