They scream and cry for biofuels until they get their way and then they want to tell us it might not be such a good idea. Not that I ever believed biofuels were worth the effort.
If we all went naked and foraged for our food I wonder what the eviroloones complaint would be?

Maybe look at at this way : cows harvest grass which is fueled by sunlight and rain, thus they are solar energy collectors. They also dump on the ground and emit methane. This methane warms the atmosphere which means more evaporation from the ocean which means more rain which means more grass for these bovine solar collectors to eat. Thus when you eat your steak you are a solar collector too.

Let the grub worms stand up for them selves and take their fair share. Insects consume large quantities of crop and vegetation. The sun is the cause of weather. Hurricanes use a large amount of the suns energy, lets ban those.
