No, my ethics do work. Yours are flawed. You want this boy locked up just because you don't like people like him. That's morally repugnant. In Western cultures, we (1) don't believe in guilt by association and (2) respect juries as fact finders. You have rejected the first notion, by convicting the boy for having poor friends and the second for wanting to punish him for raping a 17 year old even after a jury found him not guilty. Your position seems based solely on personal aversion (he's a "thug"), not on any high notion of justice and is completely lacking in integrity.
Furthermore, you refused to answer my question -- if a white girl had sex with 12 black boys two years her junior, would you support sending her to prison for ten years? If not, you can add hypocrisy to your long list of moral failings.
