Loved your post, but to be fair, Hudson Taylor and George Mueller were both dispensationalists, and it would be hard to be more vibrant evangelical and socially aware persons/movements than the forces God brought about by these two men. While I think that dispensationalism is horrid theology, I don't put the fault of the moribund state of the church at their door. All of us could us a dose of what hit the colonies under Edwards and Whitfield, and our culture is doomed unless that happens.
I do hope and pray that God will bring wisdom maturity and aid us in repentance by exposing us to our persecuted brothers in the third world. In many ways they are our "elder brothers" even though the resources for biblical teaching are not nearly so extensive. Happy sabbath to ya.

It seems we can forward God's program by small and relatively painless obedience now, or out of the crucible of enormous suffering later. The cry of my heart is for grace to be obedient, now.
