Please check out Phsstpok’s EXCELLENT Sunday Talk Show PRE-Thread. It’s a great way to hear analysis on why the DBM picks the guests, what they’ll probably discuss, and other pertinent facts. Also, check out his blog!

Good morning, Alas. MTP is completely preempted here, which is actually probably a good thing.

Thanks AB & Good Morning to EveryOne! Belated Thanks to Phsstpok. Congrats to the topsters last week.

When Joe Wilson came with his book, Russert had him on MTP. Now this week Robert Novak is coming out with his tell all book, in which he exposes Wilson - "in colorful language" & whatever happened with Joe Wilson @ Meet the Press green room.

One would think that it would only be fair for Russert to have Novak today on MTP, but then Russert was never fair & never will be.

You’re welcome! Winners have not yet been selected from last week.

Russert should be in jail for perjury, had Fitzfongpatrick done his job.

Now that NYTimes & Wash.Compost started attacking Fred Thompson's wife. Will Steffy rise up to ask Conyers about his wife Involving in Bar Fight?

I’m in... for a bit. Typical slate of Dems and RINOs on most of the shows.

Lurking.

MTP is a trip this morning with David Gregory filling in for Timmy Russert. Gregory and Chuck Hagel had a field day dissing President Bush, from Iraq to Libby. Hagel says he hasn’t yet decided to leave the GOP for an Independent run for the Presidency. He’ll decide within the next few months.

Russert's opponent is Bush & Republicans. Hagel's challenger - Jon Bruning is the youngest Attorney General in Nebraska history.

Hagel will end up like Bob Smith.

FYMTGE....I hope so...if the early polling is really BAD for Hagel..he may not even run..maybe he's holding out to be Bloomberg's VP choice?

After the debacle of Specter/Toomey..I hope that Republicnas have finally learned the lesson of the true cost of "political expediency"

Oh God not a whole hour of Hagel. There’d be less Bush bashing if Russert had Michael Moore as his lone guest.

MTP round table discussing the demise of the Republican Party. “They might not even be around in two years.”
