BTW, I thought thier concert done with the San Francisco symphony was the concert I will always wish I had been to.
I did see them in Pensacola 1 1/2 years ago and was so glad they didn’t play but one song from St Anger. I think they knew it was a bomb from the start. I mean, the cd hit the shelves at $9.99 WITH a DVD.
The best thing about St. Anger was the “Some Kind of Monster” documentary. I think all the scenes of the useless, psychobabbling Phil Towle getting slapped and beat down by all and sundry must have been left on the cutting room floor. They all gave him credit for helping them, but I never could figure out how. Sitting around all day and spouting platitudes for $40,000 per month is truly helpful?
