I’m bookmarking this so I can read it tomorrow. Hopefully, after a night’s rest I will be better able to decipher what you “tech aware” guys are really talking about!!

Just tell me in plain English who I need to email, and what to say, and I’m “on it”!

I'm sorry that this post has come across as being overly technical; I suppose it's the myriad hyperlinks and bits of jargon that give it that feel.  What's going on is really not technical at all; it's a simple matter of a U.S.-based company aiding and abetting an enemy of the United States, whom we are also currently at war with.

Imagine, if you will, that back in the 1940's the internet existed and the Nazis were using it for propaganda purposes....that they were trying to recruit new followers and spread disinformation and also were using it to send messages to their agents overseas so that they could coordinate attacks against The United States and our Allies... and let's say it was suddenly discovered that a company on American soil was covertly providing internet web-hosting services for them.(all internet web pages require a physical "web-host" somewhere or they cannot exist)

That's what is happening here, and the Taliban are, unfortunately, the modern-day Nazis (along with all of the other Islamofascists). The Taliban have been trying to maintain a presence on the World Wide Web and just like anybody else that wants to have an internet web page or site, they have to find a web host who is willing to provide that service for them.

I am extremely saddened and embarrassed to say that according to this posted article at The Jawa Report, they have indeed found one in my home State of Washington.

In my view, this American-based web-host ("Dotster") is no better than the Iranians in this matter (who are covertly supplying the Islamofascists with bombs, weapons, soldiers and financial support).

My guess is that this company will be shut down very quickly as a result of these disclosures, but if you would like to help accelerate that process I would suggest that the safest way for anyone to do so would be to contact your local FBI office and make your concerns known.  You can find the phone numbers for their local offices near you in the telephone book, and they also maintain a very convenient web page for reporting tips on criminal or terrorist activity.  Here it is:

FBI Tips and Public Leads

Although the posted article encourages readers to complain directly to the web-host ("Dotster") my own suggestion would be to contact the FBI instead because in my view Dotster is a tech-savvy criminal enterprise and unless you have the technical knowledge to effectively hide your identity on the internet there may be a chance that you are putting yourself at personal risk if you contact them directly.....I would not wish for any harm to come to any fellow FReepers!

Others may have a different opinion on these matters and of course you're entirely welcome to express those views here.....I am merely wishing to err on the side of safety.

I hope that this explanation helps a bit   :-)
