Officials at LIVE EARTH Johannesburg have blamed the effects of climate change for poor audience attendance at Saturday's (07Jul07) South African event. Organiser John Langford believes extremely cold weather in the region - it snowed last week (ends06Jul07) for the first time in a quarter of a century kept people away from the concert, which starred Joss Stone, UB40, Angelique Kidjo and Baaba Maal.

I knew that’d be the phrase they’d use to explain this.
Ahhh...so it has happened before.
God’s exquisite sense of irony displayed for all to see.
I suppose that makes sense to them.
Of course. Some of the "officials" probably have gas and at least three will have heartburn.
"Climate change" don't cha' know...
Which also explains the AFRICAN penguins I saw at the aquarium yesterday. I guess they are recent inhabitants.
Typical Liberal tactic is to point the finger at something, anything but truth to BLAME a problem, or a failure upon.
I thought this was a scrappleface title at first, and laughed out loud.
“We’re expecting 10,000 here tonight. It’s a bit chilly, and we’ve had a strange winter... is it climate change? We had snow in Jo’burg last week for the first time in 25 years.”
Right. It snowed last week and it’s a bit chilly. What a weather disaster. Reminds me of the winter I lived in Las Vegas. It snowed about an inch one morning. Nothing on the streets. The city panicked, golf courses closed, sheer bedlam.
Climates change.
WHY ARE THEY YELLING AT ME!?!?!?!?!
This marks the OFFICIAL switching from blaming President Bush for everything to now climate change.......stay tuned.
Before Live Earth, I predicted that at least one venue would experience much-colder-than-normal temps. I noticed that the Antartica pix looked pretty warm for this time of year. I wonder what the temps were at all of the concert locations and how they compared to normal.
Q: What was the real reason for poor attendance at the Joss Stone, UB40, Angelique Kidjo and Baaba Maal concert?
A: Joss Stone, UB40, Angelique Kidjo and Baaba Maal.
“believes extremely cold weather in the region “
Karl Rove is really really good with this weather stuff.
Yup, Let’s all go to a concert to hear people we’ve never heard of.
