Freshman Congressman Keith Ellison was among friends Sunday -- in this case, a gathering of atheists -- so his support for a fistful of hot-button opinions, including the impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney...

On impeaching Cheney, which the Minneapolis DFLer supports: "[It is] beneath his dignity in order for him to answer any questions from the citizens of the United States. That is the very definition of totalitarianism, authoritarianism and dictatorship."

This article is brutally snipped, but it is worth the click for the whole sordid thing.

My fave part:

Ellison's noontime speech before Atheists for Human Rights, a Minneapolis-based group, drew the largest gathering in recent memory for the organization, said Marie Castle, the group's spokeswoman. "We're trying to upgrade the image of atheists," Castle said of the 350-member group. "They don't think we have a moral compass."

Hey, but the great idea of hanging out with Ellison is really gonna help that... not.

I just saw that this had already been posted... by searching "Ellison's", instead of just "Ellison". Is there any way to have the standard front page search engine pick up partials? (I've had this trouble before...)

Great thinking there, buddy. Next send an invite to Calypso Louie & the Mothership Gang. That should complete the upgrade.

Leftists who claim to be atheists give atheists a bad name. Leftists are essentially communists, which means that they worship Marx, which means that they are not atheists. You cannot believe the things that leftists believe and claim to be free of faith-based reasoning. As an employer of mine used to like to say when an engineer came up with a really stupid explanation of something: “Compared to that, believing in God is nothing”.

LOL.

(It does seem an odd way to try and look more "moral".)

*still chuckling*

Leftists who claim to be atheists give atheists a bad name.

Leftists claiming to be anything other than leftists gives everything they touch a bad name... The National Council of Churches and several "Jewish" groups immediately come to mind.

And another thing (target-rich environment, missed a few...): Anyone who claims to be an atheist is a fool to hang out with Muslims. While acquiring power, Muslims like to use atheists as scapegoats so as to prove that they (the Muslims) are “just like” Christians and Jews. Once they have power, Muslims are more likely to slaughter atheists than members of recognized religions (no hostage value).

Minneapolis and Minnesota will pay for Ellison. Minneapolis is becomming a Muslim stronghold. That can’t be good.

Minnesota: Wasn’t that the State that sent a Congressman to Washington who took his oath of office on the Koran?

Well, I'm one of those evil believers who might already think an atheist is a little foolish... but an atheist who befriends a Muslim is definitely a 'tard. (LOL)

The quote says it all - “You’ll always find this Muslim standing up for your right to be atheists,” he told the group.

Notice how he states “this” muslim? I’ll bet his homeboys in the middle east don’t feel the same about athiests.

An athiest would last as long as a Jew in Palestine over there.
