Controversial radio host Don Imus is considering a return to the airwaves -- as early as this coming January, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Legal issues pending with CBS must first be resolved before any dramatic return to the airwaves.
'We're going to see Don back in front of a microphone for the '08 election," said a top source close to Imus.
The source would not reveal where Imus would make his comeback.
A pre-4th of July report by the NEW YORK POST fueled speculation of an Imus return.
